What will therapy with Dani Sullivan, MSW look like?

Therapy with Dani Sullivan, MSW looks different for each client as the individualized approach is tailored to your needs and the presenting concerns that lead to to seeking services with me. There are a few guarantees and common themes that you can expect from engaging with Intentions Therapy:

You can expect to be met with warmth each session, and for your therapist to show up with curiosity and a focus on your needs and desires in the present moment. Each session, you will have an opportunity to explore what you want most for yourself, and set intentions about the focus, pace and structure of our session.

Dani Sullivan, MSW believes you are the expert on your own life and sees therapy as a relationship between the client and the provider. You can expect your therapist to hold space for you to be, as you are. Offering non-judgement, presence, and curiosity in session helps to break relational cycles that keep clients stuck in fear, shame, and trauma.

Therapy is a gathering of imperfect humans who navigate the obstacles of our confusing world together.

Do you accept insurance? Can I use my Out-of-Network Benefits?

Intentions Therapy does not accept insurance at this time. All services provided by Intentions Therapy are private-pay.

If you are covered by an insurance plan, it's likely your Out-of-Network benefits will cover part or all of the cost. Reaching out to your insurance company and asking about your out-of-network benefits is a good place to start.  If you do have out-of-network benefits, I can supply you monthly with completed forms called "superbills" that have all the information necessary to file a claim for Out-of-Network Reimbursement yourself.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

I require 24 hour notice for cancellations or rescheduled appointments.

Without notice, the session will be billed in full.

How long does each therapy session last?

Intentions Therapy offers two session lengths: 55 minutes and 90 minutes.

Certain clients seek therapy intensives for longer session lengths in order to work on specific treatment goals. If you are interested in discussing short-term therapy intensives, please mention this in your application.

What are your hours?

Clinical Session Hours occur between 9am-5pm on weekdays (Monday-Friday).

Please note, I do not provide 24-hour crisis services. If a life-threatening crisis should occur, contact a crisis hotline, call 911, or go to a hospital emergency room.

As an individual provider who is not in a group practice, I am generally in a session during working hours and am unavailable outside of working hours.

What services do you provide?

Do you work with children and adolescents?

At this time, Intentions Therapy is not accepting adolescent and teen clients.

Our therapeutic offerings serve individuals over the age of 21.
