Sliding Scale
Offering a sliding scale for group therapy comes from a desire to create multiple access points to healing in community. I recognize that privilege, class, and ability are complex and intersectional.
This sliding scale relies upon honesty, accountability, and respect for the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist. I understand that financial resources, including income, are not the only determining factor in someone's access to services and therapeutic care, and I explain the structure of my sliding scale below.

Pay-it-Forward Price

Middle Price

Bottom Price

Actual Price
The pay-it-forward price is slightly above the actual cost of the group and supports the financial accessibility of this group for folks lower down on the scale. This also contributes to my ability to build future free and low-cost resources, classes, and groups.
The actual price of the offering is its actual market cost. If you choose a price below this, you are receiving a discount.
The middle price is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little to no expendable income. Paying for this group offering may be a sacrifice but would not create hardship.
The bottom price is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this group offering would be a significant hardship.

Questions
Frequently Asked
Are you accepting new clients?
We are accepting new clients for group therapy and have upcoming offerings that are enrolling now!

What will group therapy with Dani Sullivan, LCSW look like?
Support Group offerings will serve as an opportunity to be witnessed in community and to work on your relationship with yourself and others in the context of a secure, emotionally nurturing group cohort. Current group offerings are focused on self healing for collective care, and the group commitment is 8 weeks long.
You and your peers will have an opportunity to explore your intentions, needs, and expectations while challenging one another to align with the truth and communicate across divides.
Offering non-judgement, radical acceptance, and curiosity in group offerings helps to break relational cycles that keep clients stuck in fear, shame, and trauma. As we reconcile the relationship with self, our connections with others improve.
Group Therapy is offered at a sliding scale.
Do you accept insurance? Can I use my Out-of-Network Benefits?
Intentions Therapy does not accept insurance at this time. All services provided by Intentions Therapy are private-pay.
If you are covered by an insurance plan, it's likely your Out-of-Network benefits will cover part or all of the cost. Reaching out to your insurance company and asking about your out-of-network benefits is a good place to start. If you do have out-of-network benefits, I can supply you monthly with completed forms called "superbills" that have all the information necessary to file a claim for Out-of-Network Reimbursement yourself.
Superbills can not be provided for group services.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
I require 24 hour notice for cancellations or rescheduled appointments. This policy applies to all services, including group therapy. Without notice of a cancellation or reschedule, the session will be billed in full.
What are your hours?
Clinical Session Hours occur between 9am-5pm on weekdays (Monday-Friday). Please note, I do not provide 24-hour crisis services. If a life-threatening crisis should occur, contact a crisis hotline, call 911, or go to a hospital emergency room. As an individual provider who is not in a group practice, I am generally in a session during working hours and am unavailable outside of working hours.
Am I a good fit for a support group?
If you are an adult who is looking to share time and space within intentional healing community, this group is for you. This group welcomes folks of all identities and lived experiences to participate.
Virtual Support groups can be helpful in connecting folks from all over the country, and provide a safe space to share your growth, learn coping strategies, and find comfort in community.
Group Facilitator, Dani Sullivan works with a particular focus serving neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, so folks looking to grow in self-care and community within these groups are encouraged to apply.
Do you work with children, teens and adolescents?
What services do you provide?
At this time, Intentions Therapy is not accepting adolescent and teen clients. Our therapeutic offerings serve individuals over the age of 21.
What is your approach to therapy and healing?
I use an interdisciplinary and client-centered approach, pulling from many modalities, theories, and wellness practices. To read more about this, click here.
